If you are an alpine skier looking to get into the backcountry here is your answers!

It’s a pretty easy choice: if you are just looking to pop off the lifts at the end of the day to do a couple of runs get the Alpine Trekker. They just pop into your existing downhill skis and allow your heels to lift for easy walking. Combined with skins you can get to the top of your couloir, cliff, or powderfield and snap them out again. Flick off your skins, jump into your downhill bindings and go skiing!
Alternatively if you are seeking greater backcountry freedom in the form of a backcountry specific board providing less weight and better touring performance without drastic changes in downhill performance then the easy pick is the Fritschi Diamir III. If you want a board that you will use in the backcountry and on the ski hill and tend to be a little aggressive sometimes.... Fritschi FreeRide or Naxo is your binding of choice.
Exclusive backcountry skiers who put a premium on weight and ease of touring would do well to consider the merits of the Dynafit bindings. This binding is so light that it puts all telemark bindings to shame. In the past the only drawback has been the limited selection of compatible boots available. Now that the Scarpa Lazer ( and the Magic for women ) with its proven performance is available there is an awesome combination.
Finally Scarpa has filled the gap that female backcountry skiers have been requesting - a boot that fits! This will finally allow female skiers out of the painful solutions that they have been forced to deal with and enter the comfort and performance that is legendary with the Scarpa line of Touring boots - The Magic.
Scarpa has dominated the market with great fitting boots that provide almost alpine boot stiffness and downhill performance. The liners are exceptionally comfortable and warm. In cold temperatures the plastic shell still allows the liner to return easily.
Once again we have the undisputed best prices in North America on Alpine Touring Gear; sometimes called “Randonee” - (“it’s french for can’t tele”)

Check out our selection of backcountry specific AT skis.
