Ymir Yurts are accessed by a combination of snowmobiles and/or snowcat and ski touring. We transport all the way to Yurtopia by snowcat. Qua requires a minimum of 20 minutes of ski touring. Early season may require more ski touring.

Mechanical transportation covers the easy part, up the logging road, over Wildhorse Pass and to the top of Wildhorse Ridge. From here it is a great ski descent and pleasant tour to your destination.

Exit Plans:
Yurtopia we transport everyone by snowcat or snowmobile. Qua requires a ski descent with your backpacks. We then transport your backpacks by snowmobile or snowcat whilst you ski tour 30 minutes up the ridge and descend to Wildhorse Pass. We then snowmobile or ski out.

Accommodation in Ymir:
Most groups stay at the Ymir Hotel for the night prior to their trip. The rates are ( 2008 prices ) $30 for room with shared bathroom and $40 for room with private bathroom. We can reserve your rooms - just email me with dates and room requests.
